Meet the Founder

What inspired Women That Amaze, Inc.?
I was born to immigrant parents who worked hard to make a living. My father did not complete his education and my mother passed away suddenly when I was 19 years old. The day she passed, she was getting ready for school. We were both attending community college and I was pregnant with my first child.
It was such a difficult time in my life and there were many things I wish I would have known. I have been very fortunate to have amazing mentors along the way who have helped guide me. I want other young ladies to know, they can have the same. Having children really made the concept real for me. Like they say, it takes a village and I want others, including my children, to know that they can turn to me when they have a question, but that their support system and network is also very important. Women That Amaze, Inc. is a network, a support system to help guide young girls via mentorship, workshops, and speakers’ series. Women That Amaze, Inc. is my way of paying it forward.

Favorite thing about Women That Amaze, Inc.: The people. Connecting with other women and girls across the nation and internationally has been so inspiring! YOU are what drives the passion for this project!
